Manufacturing facility of solar panel installation –

Under the India National Solar Mission,100GW installed capacity is to be achieved by 2022.For this major focus is on centralised Grid-Tied or off-grid solar power plantsthrough various MNRE(Ministry of New&renewable Energy ,Govt. of India)schemes.But the issues related to accessibility and affordability in Rural areas is still there because of large investment size and poor
infrastructure.
The proposed manufacturing facility of solar panel can make decentralised generation of Solar Energy. Originally, based on a Japanese Technology ,micro-solar panel laminator can make solar panels in rural setting with limited resources . Two machines would be installed in energy centres at district level, one in Gumla& second in Khunti.The machine would 3 to 4 number of panels in a day with panel capacity of 30 Wp.
Through trainings, CSOs and rural youth will be able to manufacture their own panels and sell locally..This novel approach of democrating solar energy willl drastically improve access to clean energy across thousands of Villagesin Jharkand.

Manufacturing facility of Biomass Briquettes-

Majority of the rural communities are dependent on forest firewood for ccoking and heating and kerosene for lighting .As there is an abundant agri-waste and biomass available in the rural areas ,it can be utilised to make a cleaner and efficient fuel for ccoking and heating purpose.
The process manufacturing facility of Biomass briquettes(cooking/heating fuel)from waste biomass available locally.The biomass briquette manufacturing includes agricultural wastes,forestry residues ,alll kinds of dry and wet waste materials as well domestic available locally.
Four machines would be instaled at energy centre in each district level i.e.Gumla,Khunti,Simdega and Ranchi.The machine will run on 5H.P. motor with a manufacturing capacity of 300Kg/Hour.
The rural youth will get an exposure to the manufacturing,marketing and supply chain for biomass briquetting,which will in turn build their understanding on the technology and also support the entrepreneurship model for its long term sustainability.

Manufacturing & Assembly unit of energy efficient cook stoves-

The rural marginalized communities of Jharkhand State continue to use traditional stoves for everyday cooking and space heating. This not only poses a threat to the health of the family members that uses them,but is also an environmental and economic burden as forest resources are depleted for these fuel options.
Manufacturing and assembly unit of energy efficient cook stoves will be established in each district at energy centres to demonstrate the technology and to imparting skills training and capacity building .The proposed energy efficient cook stoves will have natural draft technology made by clay/mud.
The stove design would have 2 burners and chimney which would increase efficiency by 25% CSOs and rural youth will be able to manufacture and assemble the tailored cook stoves as per the demand in the rural community.

Rural Spark Energy Kits-

The rural spark energy kit is a high clean energy solution for rural areas to access electricity.The local communities can become Local Energy Suppliers by selling the energy to the fellow villagers,becoming resilient entreprenuers.Each Rural Spark Kit comprises of 1PV solar panel (40 Wp),1 router,1 energy cube,2 wired LED bulband 12 solar lamps.
Two kits will be installed in each centre to demonstrate the associated entrepreneurship model around it.This kit enables thelocal youth to start their clean energy bussinessin their own way.The clean(solar) energy charges the lamps and the energy cube by paying a nominal cost .This solution is currently used by the small vendors for lighting in the evening bussiness hours .
Training of rural communities on marketing and operation of the rural spark kit can give long term sustainability to the bussiness model and can also provide increased livelihood opportunities in an environment friendly manner.

Solar Home lighting system-

The Government of india is promoting solar home lighting system in rural areas under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM).One unit of solar home lighting system approved by MNRE will be installed in each centre to demonstrate its benefits .
The solar home lighting system comprises of soar panel ,2 led light bulbs ,1table fan,and mobile charging port with a battery back up of 8-12 hours.The centre will also connect the CSOs and the local youth with MNRE approved channel partner to purchase,install and commission solar home lighting system in their households.
Interested individuals/self-help groups/CBOs will be connected to private sector organisation to receive trainings on marketing and sales of solar home lighting systems in rural area.

Biogas Digester Plant –

The Government of india is promoting solar home lighting system in rural areas under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM).One unit of solar home lighting system approved by MNRE will be installed in each centre to demonstrate its benefits .
The action will therefore install small unit of the Biogas disaster at each centre to demonstrate the waste treatment and disposal process in an environmental friendly manner.The technology will also help the rural families to meet their cooking fuels needs and organic manure needs for agriculture.
The CSOs of the selected areas will be able to implemnt the technology in their existing SHG (Self Help Group) networks.The financial subsidy can also be asssessed by the Government after implementing 100 units in the rural areas.

Organize skill Training for youth-

Providing rural access to the mentioned CES and scaling up the technology is not possible without adequate and competent human resources. Building the technical competency among rural communities provides a strong foundation for the operations of the CES.
A new initiative by Government of India on Skill developmen has been launched to empower the youth of the country with skill sets which make them more employable and more productive in their work environment.
Skill Development haas become a priority on the natinal stage and its priority to this sector as well . Capacity buliding is required at an intra-organisational level as well as for the sector as a whole .This includes skill development for technical and non-technical local authorities,CSOs,rural communities,private sector players,field staff and supervisors,middle management,senior managementand social entrepreneurs.

Organize Green Business Challenge (GBC) –

Providing rural access to the mentioned CES and scaling up the technology is not possible without adequate and competent human resources. Building the technical competency among rural communities provides a strong foundation for the operations of the CES.
Process of GBC
-Conducting 12 Roadshows in Jharkhand by partner organisation 4 roadshows by each partner.
-Interested participants will need to submit their bussiness ideas on the challenging website or hard copy to PMU adhering to the specific timelines.
-Around 100 applications will best screened and invited for pitching round.
-Selection of the best bussiness ideas/entreprenuers on CES.

Provide seed funding support to 20 young entrepreneurs –

A new initiative by Government of India on Skill developmen has been launched to empower the youth of the country with skill sets which make them more employable and more productive in their work environment.

Organize Mobile Van for Demonstration on CES –

“Seeing is believing “The project area is a rural tribal area where there is very little or no exposure to many of the existing clean energy products,services and schemes,both from the public as well as from the private sector.
The action plans to give ‘live demonstration and experiences’ to rural people by sharing these products,solutionand schemes at their foot steps through a customerised mobile van equiped with multiple clean energy technologies and its applications.
The mobile van will be a visible face and voice of the project in the rural area.It consists of various Ces like – Solar panels, solar home lighting systems,biomass briquettes,solar lights,solar cookers,clean efficient stoves,etc.
The van will have a pre–defined route map for each day and the timing to reach the village . The community mobilizers of the respective villages will gather people before the arrival of the van. Once the van arrives ,mobile kits,IEC materials and the live product demonstration will be used to sensitize the people about the CES.Once people are sensitised on the CES products,services and schemes ,they will take self-initiativeto use them in their lives.

Develop and promote use of mobile App on CES-

The penetration of the mobile and internet is growing in the rural areas in exponential manner and people are spending considerable time in mobile usage.The proposed action will make use of a mobile app with inbuilt Smart SMS service.
